Frequently Asked Questions
There are several methods you may use to place an order with CEV.
1. Web site - For your convenience we offer a secure eCommerce solution. You may purchase by credit card or with a purchase order.
2. Phone - We have live customer service representatives who can take your order over the phone. Call 800.922.9965 during business hours, which are Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM CST.
3. Fax - You may fax your order to 800.243.6398.
4. Mail - You may mail your order to P.O. Box 65265, Lubbock, TX 79464.
5. Email - You may email your order to sales@cevmultimedia.com.
Each state is different. You can find out more by selecting your state under the state adoption button, contacting your local CEV representative, or calling our office directly at 800.922.9965.
If an item is defective, damaged or broken, CEV will replace the item for free. Some form of the damaged/broken product must be returned to CEV at the expense of the customer to receive replacement. If item is lost or stolen, CEV will replace for 50% of the retail price of the item.
Returns will be accepted within 30 days from the ship date for VHS and DVDs. No returns will be accepted past 30 days. All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. CD-ROM returns must be approved by CEV before returning. The customer is responsible for shipping costs required to return materials. Returned materials lost in shipment will be the responsibility of the customer. All returns remain at the discretion of CEV.
Most DVDs come with resources or additional materials which are located on the disc. To access these materials, select My Computer and right click on the DVD then select Explore. If the DVD has any additional materials you will see either the supplement or a folder named Additional Materials.
Make sure that you have a DVD drive attached to your computer. If you do have a DVD drive you will need to make sure you have a DVD decoding software installed. (Cyberlink PowerDVD, Roxio Cineplayer, WinDVD)

Exit out of this page and return to My Computer. Right click on the DVD and select Play NOT AutoPlay.
If some DVDs play and some do not, it is likely your player does not support DVD-R formatted discs. If your player is at least three years old your player may not support a DVD-R format. Please refer to your user manual to see what type of DVDs your player supports. To learn more go to http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers and reference your specific DVD player model number and its capabilities.
The registration code for a single PowerPoint is located on the back of the original plastic case in which it was sent. MPU Disc 1 registration codes are located on the top of the insert card.
You must have installation or administrative rights before the program can be installed. Make sure you have entered the registration code correctly with NO spaces. If you still receive an error, please contact us at technical.support@cevmultimedia.com for further assistance.
This error indicates a problem with the disc. Please contact our customer service department and request a replacement disc.
Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.1 must be installed on the computer in use.
To install discs you will need to have installation or administrative rights. Next you will insert the disc into the drive. By default the disc should auto play and begin the installation process automatically. However, depending on your computer it may not automatically run. If this is the case double click on the CD-ROM drive and double click on the setup file. The setup will begin and go through a series of instructions and information screens. We recommend you complete the installation using default settings. The disc may not install properly if these settings are changed. You will be prompted for your registration code which can be located on the back of the case or on the insert that came with your product. Once the installation is complete it will not be necessary to use the disc to run the program. Shortcuts will automatically be installed under the Start Menu - Program Files - CEV Multimedia - Product Folder. - Double click on My Computer
- Right click on the CD and select Explore
- Right click on the file that ends with 16 (example PlantID16.exe)
- Select Properties and then select the Compatibility Tab
- Check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
- Select Windows 98/Windows ME
- Check Run in 256 Colors, Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution and Disable visual themes
- Click Apply and then OK
- Double click on the same item you just modified (example: PlantID16.exe)
Your CD should run. This setup should not have to be repeated on the computer in use unless it has been re-imaged by your IT department. If you do not have administrative rights your IT department will have to configure these settings.
Make sure you have the rights to install programs on your computer. Also make sure the computer is running Windows XP, Vista, or MAC OS X 10.4.
